It is important to know the time of the weeding. By then you can determine the kind of dress to wear. If the wedding is held at daytime you may wear a short dress or either a business attire however if it will be held at night a cocktail dress is recommended for an informal setting while if it is semi formal, you can wear long or dressy cocktail wear wrap with beading and glam accessories. In some formal to ultra-formal, a long gown will definitely look smart.

So you’ve been invited to the wedding of the century right, and you want to look your best. The problem is you just can’t decide what to wear. I mean you want to look amazing, but then again you don’t want to upstage the bride and groom. Don’t worry you are not the only person to have this problem, many wedding guests, day in and day out face a similar thing. Here are a few wedding wear tips for your guests.
The first and most important rule any wedding guest must follow when choosing their outfit is to never upstage the bride and groom. Female wedding guests should never wear white, as a white dress should only be for the bride on her big day. Male wedding guests should wear a simple suit and tie, never go for a top hat or tails.
Another thing you should take into consideration when picking the perfect outfit is the theme of the wedding. Is the wedding going to be a big affair with all the bells and whistles? If so make sure you dress accordingly. If the wedding is casual with only a handful of guests, then a casual outfit will do. If you are unsure of what type of wedding it is going to be, you can usually tell by taking a quick look on the invitation. If there are no clues on the invitation simply ask the bride or groom.
Another piece of advice for wedding guests is to think about what time of year the wedding will be held. If it is a winter wedding, a female guest may feel warmer and more comfortable wearing a smart cream trouser suit rather than a dress. A male guest should ensure that they have a warmer jacket to wear. If it is going to be a summer wedding you can wear a lighter outfit.
No matter what time of year it is, you should still check the weather forecast beforehand. We all know how unpredictable the weather can be, just because it is the middle of July it doesn’t mean that there’s no chance of rain. You never know you could even experience a warm day in February.
Don’t forget to choose an outfit that is comfortable, remember you will be wearing it for most of the day. Whatever you decide to wear to the big event, have fun and enjoy your friend or loved ones big day.
